Hi, I’m Gregor.

I work as Head of Marketing and Digitization at an award-winning independent newspaper. I talk regularly about how we continue to grow subscription numbers in a fast-changing and competititve media environment, both as a guest lecturer at Norwegian universities and at industry conferences.

I’m also passionate about emotional intelligence. As a certified EI-therapist, I spent years in therapy working through my own trauma, shame and feeling of inadequacy as a man, partner, leader and dad. I didn’t like the man I was, and spent my energy making sure nobody would get close enough to see him. I ended up pushing away and hurting the people that meant most to me. That distance, naturally, was in the way for connection and intimacy.

Turns out nothing was wrong with me after all – I simply lacked an understanding of my own emotions. When I teach emotional intelligence for both mixed gender classes and male-only classes, I hear many similar experiences. I believe it’s vital to talk openly about those things – and I do that both one-to-one, in group therapy and in front of big audiences.

Lectures

As the Head of Marketing for Dag og Tid, I bring a wealth of practical experience to my lectures on marketing strategy and customer lifetime value. Since I started in 2017, I’ve spearheaded initiatives that have led to a nearly 50% increase in subscription numbers. In my sessions, I delve into the strategies behind this growth, focusing on optimizing customer acquisition and retention to maximize long-term profitability. I guide participants through the complexities of calculating customer lifetime value and demonstrate how integrating this metric into your business strategy can drive sustainable success.

In my lectures on emotional intelligence (EQ) for both professional and personal use, I explain the theory through the lens of my own journey, sharing my experiences in an open and vulnerable way. I help participants understand how self-awareness and emotional management can profoundly impact their lives. By recognizing and effectively handling their own emotions, as well as those of others, they can enhance personal relationships and strengthen their leadership abilities. My approach combines personal stories with practical exercises, empowering individuals to develop the emotional resilience needed for a more fulfilling life, both at work and at home.
